Safe Browsing

Browsing securely can help you protect your data from theft and avoid having malicious cookies installed on your computer to watch you, track you and make your life more difficult.

Activists need to have a high level of security consciousness when browsing. One step toward safer browsing is to use Firefox, Mozilla’s highly popular, free open-source browser. It’s fast, efficient and allows added extensions which you can use to browse and communicate more securely.

If you want to mask your IP during a browsing session (so no one can detect where you’ve been on the web), use the Tor browser, available for all operating systems. It’s a solid browser, although slower and not as feature-filled as Firefox. But its security is complete.
