Cloud storage allows you to keep large amounts of data on remote servers. It can be efficient, easy and safe. The problem with cloud storage is that most companies providing cloud services will turn your information over to the government the moment they get a phone call from the FBI. And many of them don’t encrypt your information, so if the government seizes data or servers from the cloud provider, they have full access anyway.
We recommend using Nextcloud, a service that bundles secure mega-storage capability with calendar and contacts storage and can be synced between phone and computer. May First/People Link offers Nextcloud to its members automatically.
